I have watched LaLa from being a Video Jockey on MTV, hosting reality TV Reunions on VH1 and now recently marring the love of her life and MY Basket Ball crush Carmelo Anthony , LOL.. In my eyes she has always been beautiful, elegant,positive and stylish. Now as a married woman and mom she has the best glow of happiness ever. I never met her personally but from what I can see in the pictures and interviews she has an awesome soul and a great spirit. Her style is definitely on my list of looks to dupe in the future.

101 Women of Hope 2011

WOW.. where do I start..before I get into the goods I just wanted to let everyone know  that my blog is basically a little bit of EVERYTHING... For the most I will blog about  "my first experiences and adventures" .  So on that note if your interested lets get into it. 

This year 101 Women of Hope decided to volunteer at KIPP DC Douglas Rd SE.  Since my oldest daughter attends KIPP DC Benning Rd SE I knew right away I wanted to be apart of this movement. Anything positive empowering woman and supporting kids Im all for it.. SIGN ME UP..LOL...  Ok before I get into the dets about my day here are a couple picture from the Meet and Greet held last night at UnionTown Bar and Grill  located on Martin Luther King Ave, SE DC.  Nice spot I must say.. I will make my way back real soon..

Ok now on to the GOOD GOOD.. I had the pleasure of working with the Pre K (ages 3 &4 yrs old)  in Discovery. Discovery is the school for the younger students which is located on the KIPP campus. Mr. Davenport teaches PE /GYM. He was excellent with the students. If you don't know 3 and 4 yr olds can be a hand full with a ball of energy..He is soooo patient and kind with them and I can tell by just being there one day those kids love being in his class. I have a 2 and 10 yr old and my patience is SHOT...lol well not completely but its getting there. After today watching him in action first hand I totally have a higher respect for teachers. . I agree for sure teachers should be 1 of the highest paid professions in the world. 101 Women of Hope is an awesome organization and I will def be apart of many more functions to come.

Bestie Weekend in NYC... IMATS 2011

I'm super excited we decided to take this trip to NYC ..QT with my Besties (Mya & Tiffany) and a KID FREE weekend was well needed.. International Make Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) 2011 was amazing and I cant wait to head to LA to attend next year... We stayed at the Marriott Downtown, NYC right next to ground zero.. just to be in NYC and  WAIT did I mention KID FREE..*insert fistpumpin hard here** was all I needed... We hit ACE Hotel  which was "suppose" to be one of the "poppin" spots in NYC but it was a total FAIL..Time Square was just as seen on TV....Live with bright lights..I must say the highlight of the trip  besides IMATS was the Forever 21 Time Square .. yes the store has 4 or shoot I think maybe 5 levels and its open until 2am.. yes yall 2:00AM..You know we spend more time there then anything..lol I cant wait to plan another get a way soon. NAILz

I wanted a quick way to add some length and color to my nails with out spending too much money.  Soooooo I decided to buy a pack of GLUE on nails.. yes GLUE ON...lol I brought these about a week ago and applied them. I must say I'm totally impressed and pleased with my purchase. For some reason no matter what top/base coat I use on my nails after 2 -3 days the polish starts to chip. Nailene Nail Studio (short length) from CVS which only cost $5...SCORE..They are also sold in Family Dollar (which I just found out today) for $3. So you know where I'm going to purchasing my next set....lol The set includes a mini finger nail file and 24 nails. Only bummer is the clue is sold separately.. but for $2 your still getting a awesome price deal.

Ha.. you cant tell me these nails don't look just like a $15-20 Acrylic Full Set from a nail salon. Ladies if your trying to cut back on your spending but still want those nice french tips. TRY these nails by Nailene and you will NOT be disappointed. Let me know what you think..
